On June 17, 2017 The Society of St. Vincent de Paul of Contra Costa County and its local branch (Conference) at St. Peter Martyr Catholic Church, Pittsburg will host the very first Spiritual Advisor Training ever to be presented in the Spanish language. The translation of the Spiritual Advisor Training Material has been facilitated by Deacon Gene Smith (Past National President of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul USA) and sisters of the Daughters of Charity.

Vincentians (SVdP trained volunteers) are typically invited to attend these types of trainings throughout the year. Simply put, these trainings give us a better understanding of how to serve those in need…better. “The primary purpose of our Society is the spiritual development of our members and our service to the poor…” And with a rising population of Spanish-speaking Vincentians, it is important that we offer these trainings in the language they pray in.

We invite you to join us!
