St. Vincent de Paul of Contra Costa County is participating in East Bay Gives 2017, a 24-hour online giving day that supports the important work of the Bay Area’s nonprofits, taking place today, May 4, 2017. For the 4th annual day of giving, East Bay Gives aims to mobilize more than 40,000 people to give $5 million to support hundreds of nonprofits in the East Bay, San Francisco and Silicon Valley.

In spirit of the event, Bank of America has recently provided a $10,000 grant to St. Vincent de Paul of Contra Costa County. Bank of America is lending, investing and giving in local communities alike to help make financial lives better and benefit the local economy.  The grant from Bank of America supports the SVdP Family Resource Center in Pittsburg, where safety-net services are provided including a free dining room, free medical clinic for the uninsured, food pantry, employment program for those with barriers-to-employment, daytime homeless shelter, clothing, and more.

Bank of America’s support to St. Vincent de Paul of Contra County, is just one of the ways they are helping improve the quality of life in Contra Costa County.

On this special day of giving, from midnight to 11:59PM on May 4, anyone can visit www.EastBayGives.org from their computers, tablets, or phones and use the accessible online platform to select a nonprofit to support. We hope that you will consider making a minimum donation of $20 to St. Vincent de Paul of Contra Costa County.
