What does my Donation Do?
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul relies on donations to continue provide necessary services to people
in need in our communities. Your donation of funds or goods can provide emergency food, clean
clothes, employment training, or no cost medical services to a person in need.
Any donation, of any size makes a real difference in your community.
- $10 provides two sets of clean clothing for a person in need
- $25 provides a 3 day supply of food staples for a family of four
- $50 provides two boxes of diapers
- $150 provides a bed set and frame for parents sleeping on the floor
- $500 provides two weeks of job training for a homeless person
- $1,000 provides Christmas baskets with new clothes and toys for 200 children
- $2,500 provides Thanksgiving Dinner baskets to 150 families

- provide low and no cost goods to those in need
- provide employment and job training for those out of the workforce
- promote reusing and recycling!

Thrift Store Donations
Donations of clothing and household goods are only accepted at our Pleasant Hill
location Tuesday – Saturday, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, and Sundays, 12:00 – 4:00 pm.Can’t make it to Pleasant Hill? Call (925) 439-5060 to schedule a pick up!
Vehicle Donation
Auto donation is easy and directly supports SVdP programs!
We accept all vehicles, running or not, and offer FREE pick up seven days a week. Will
provide documentation for your tax-deductable gift!Since our Auto Donation program does not contract to a third party, 92 cents of every
dollar you donate goes directly to helping people in need.Call 1-800-YES-SVDP or visit www.yes-svdp.com to schedule a pick up.
Planned Giving
Memorial Giving
Recognize a loved one by making a gift in his or her honor. If you include their address
with your donation, a special acknowledgement will be sent to the family recognizing
your gift.
Also consider making a gift in honor of a birthday, wedding, or other special event!
Giving in Your Will
Consider giving in your estate plans. When you make a bequest to St. Vincent de Paul in
your will, you are contributing to the future of our community.
Giving Stocks and Securities
Deposit a gift of stock to our brokerage account or send it directly to us.

number of shares, and your contact information.

Company Giving
Many companies have matching gift programs that will double your gift to qualifying
charities. Check with your Human Resources department to see if your company has
one.
