Despite the soaring temperatures, participants found ways to stay cool and celebrate the mission of St. Vincent de Paul and the fellowship our members enjoy volunteering together at the first ever Vincentian Family Picnic. Approximately 60 attendees joined us on Saturday, June 23, 2018 with the District Council and 13 conferences represented.

Picnic attendees dined on homemade smoked salmon fish tacos made by Larry Lynch of St David of Whales Conference and served by Larry and Patty Lynch, Javier, and Lupita. Luisa and Juan Ruiz of St. Anthony Conference, provided a delicious tostada bar and many contributed appetizers and desserts. Entertainment was provided by Joanne Masino, from Immaculate Heart of Mary Conference to the delight of all present.

Executive Director, Claudia Ramirez wishes to thank all who helped make this a success, despite the challenges of distance and heat. She even she made time to join in the festivities, “Just to clarify, more than 350 water balloons were filled, and I ended up “wearing” about 30 of them.” Good job team!
