To our Vincentian and other friends in Contra Costa County,

The recent (and ongoing) wildfires in Northern California have impacted a great number of persons; young and old alike. Some have lost their homes and possessions, others are being displaced, some have lost family member, and still others, for the first time in their lives, are in need of emergency assistance.

This is where the Society St. Vincent de Paul of Contra Costa County can help. We can serve as a clearinghouse for your donations, monetary and otherwise, that will be directed specifically to the St. Vincent de Paul conferences and councils servicing these affected areas.

I am asking for your contribution to St. Vincent de Paul of Contra Costa County to help support the disaster relief services in the areas affected by the Carr Fire and the Mendocino Complex (Ranch and River Fires). Because so many have been, and will continue to be, affected by these disasters, reacting to these crises and providing support to those in need is putting an even greater strain on our Conferences.

Your contribution will help provide immediate, emergency daily-living supplies and food, assist with finding temporary and permanent housing, provide clothing and shoes, and provide transportation to those who may have lost all of what they had in the aftermath of these fires. But most importantly, your contribution will help restore hope to those who may be overwhelmed by suffering through a great loss.

Please click on DONATE NOW and select Northern California Fire Relief or send your check, payable to St. Vincent de Paul of Contra Costa County, 2210 Gladstone Drive, Pittsburg, CA 94565 and note Nor Cal Fire Fund in the memo.

Thank you for your generosity and support of those who are helping the victims of these wildfires.

Sincerely,

Claudia L. Ramirez
Executive Director
