First and foremost, St. Vincent de Paul of Contra Costa County would like to thank all who participated in this year’s FOP Walk – walkers, coordinators, supporters.
The walks were held at three different locations this year: St. Isidore, St. Agnes, and St. Paul Catholic Churches. All three conferences were able to raise a considerable amount of funds!
What is FOP Walk/Run?
A national event that serves the purpose of providing local Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP) Conferences and Councils the additional funds to help support their special works projects. All Friends of the Poor Walk funds remain in Contra Costa County to help the poor via SVdP Programs including food pantries, Free Dining Room, Free Medical Clinic, Dental Program for the uninsured, Job Training Program, Daytime Homeless Shelter, Thrift Stores for clothing/furniture.
